IVC VENEZUELA OFFICIAL RESULTS

For the
first time , the city of Caracas ( Venezuela’s Capital ) hosted an
International Vale Tudo event. The International Vale Tudo Championship
Venezuela was a special edition of the famous and traditional
International Vale Tudo Championship. But this was not the only
innovation , as for the
first time ever , the IVC did a 16-man tournament in the absolute weight
division ( open class ). Some rules were adpoted to ensure fighter
satefy considering the fact that there would be 4 fights for the winner
and runner up on the same night: · Gloves were adopted · Time limit changed to 10 minutes · No headbutts were allowed · No hitting on the back of the head or spine Still , the IVC maintained it’s fame as the most real Vale Tudo event on Earth as all the other techniques were still allowed. 1st
match - Milton Bahia
def. Mike Hunter - 0'15" - KO
– punches Milton came in very focused. After landing a jab , Milton quickly connected a straight that sent Mike to the mat. Even though Mike was not out , and ended in all four position , Milton delivered a kick to the head right before the referee stoped the match. Quick win by Milton. |

2nd
match- Rodrigo Grip
def. Wellington Wilkins - 0'29" - Tap Out – Armlock Rodrigo
got caught by a punch early in the match , that left him on the bottom
position. However , Rodrigo sunk a arm / shoulder submission that made
Wilkins tap. |

3rd
match- Patrick A. Stiebling
def. Luis Cláudio Pereira - 9'22" - Tap Out – exhaustion This
match was the first war of the night. Claudio was better on the ground ,
but everytime the fight was restarted Stiebling was very dangerous with
knees and punches. A very though match that left both fighters tired in
the end. Even though many observers said that Claudio could get the win
in the judges’ decision , Stiebling pace was too much for him and he
tapped out.

4th
match- Leandro Ribeiro
def. Antonio Resende - 3'42" - tap out - arm lock In
a match where both Jiu Jitsu stylists focused on submissions over striking ,
Leandro eventually submitted Resende with an amrbar from bottom position. |

5th
match- The Pedro
def. Johnathan Ivey - 3'12" - tap
out- punches In
the very beginning of the match , Ivey attempted a flying knee bar that failed.
After this , The Pedro was on top , atacking from different postions until Ivey
taped out. |

6th
match- Angelo Araújo
def. Carlos
Clayton - decision 2x1 This
match between two heavyweight fighters was the only one to go to the judges’
decision. The fight started very even , with both fighters alternating the best
positions and attacking on the ground. After some time ,Clayton started to show
signs of exaustion , and Angelo capitalized. Getting the best of the stand up
fight , Angelo eventually won the decision. . |

7th
match- Jefferson "Tanque"
def. John Renken - 3'37" - KO – punch Since
the beginning , Tank dominated the stand up in a fast paced match were Renken
was trying to get him on the ground. After some good shots from both fighters,
Tank blocked Renken’s leg kick , while countering it with a huge
straight that ended the match.

8th
match- Evangelista "Cyborg"
def. Aaron
Sulivan - 0'13" - KO – punches Cyborg
punched his way through until Aaron was on the ground doing guard. Cyborg
connected another couple of shots that KO’d Sullivan.
